Cyclone
55 W solid-state open array, equivalent to a 6 kW magnetron, with range performance up to 72 NM.
Cyclone is a solid-state open array radar: the long bar antenna on a low pedestal rather than a dome. Its 55 W transmitter is described as equal to a 6 kW magnetron radar, but it is ready within seconds and uses CHIRP pulse compression and beam sharpening. Doppler tracking shows inbound targets red and outbound green, RangeFusion blends short and long pulses into one picture, and Bird Mode helps find working birds. It tracks up to 100 targets.
The array length sets the beam width: 2.83° on the 3 ft, 1.99° on the 4 ft and 1.32° on the 6 ft, so longer arrays separate close targets better. It connects over a RayNet data cable to Axiom displays, and the pack includes a VCM100 so it runs from 12 or 24 V.

Cyclone Pro
110 W solid-state open array, equivalent to a 12 kW magnetron, with range performance up to 96 NM.
Cyclone Pro is the higher-power version of Cyclone. Its 110 W solid-state transmitter is described as equal to a 12 kW magnetron radar, and the range scale reaches 96 NM, against 72 NM for the standard Cyclone. Actual detection range still depends on how high the scanner is and how big the target is.
The antenna, pedestal and features are shared with Cyclone: CHIRP pulse compression, beam sharpening, Doppler target tracking, RangeFusion and Bird Mode, with 60 rpm rotation and tracking of up to 100 targets. It is offered with the same 3, 4 and 6 ft arrays, with beamwidths of 2.83°, 1.99° and 1.32°. It suits larger offshore boats and anyone who wants the most reach, and it works with Axiom displays over RayNet.
Cyclone mounts on a standard Raymarine pedestal and shares the LightHouse network with the rest of the helm.

Chart overlay, Doppler colouring and dual range all need the radar and the display working together. We supply them together and commission them together.
