RayNet cables and adaptors
Waterproof Ethernet cables and adaptors that connect Axiom displays, radar, sonar modules and cameras.
RayNet is Raymarine's marine Ethernet system, the high-speed link between chartplotters, radar, sonar modules, cameras and other high-bandwidth devices. Cables are chosen by the connector at each end. RayNet-to-RayNet cables join two Raymarine devices and are waterproof, in various lengths. RayNet-to-RJ45 cables and adaptors join a RayNet device to equipment with a standard Ethernet RJ45 plug, such as a camera or accessory. Adaptors to SeaTalk HS let newer RayNet devices connect to first-generation equipment, and a right-angle adaptor helps where space behind a unit is tight.
A cable puller tool, sold in a five-pack, helps pull RayNet cable through pipes and tight spaces while protecting the socket connector.

RayNet switches
Gigabit RayNet switches; the eight-port model supplies power to four devices over the Ethernet cable.
A network switch lets several devices share one Ethernet network, which matters once a boat has more than a couple of RayNet devices, such as several displays, a radar and cameras. Raymarine lists two RayNet Gigabit switches, both marked as new. The RNS-5 has five ports. The RNS-8 has eight ports, four of them Power over Ethernet (PoE), meaning those four ports can power a connected device through the Ethernet cable itself, so it needs no separate power lead.
Both use RayNet ports, so they connect straight to RayNet cables. The switch is optional on a simple system and becomes the hub when the network grows.

SeaTalk NG kits
Ready-made cable kits for starting a SeaTalk NG / NMEA 2000 network or linking older equipment to it.
NMEA 2000 is the industry-standard network for sharing data between marine brands, at up to 250 kbps. SeaTalk NG is Raymarine's cabling for carrying it: a blue backbone with white spur cables running off to each device, and an extra wire for SeaTalk 1 compatibility. The kits bundle the parts. The Starter Kit has a 5-way connector as a short backbone, a spur cable, a power cable and terminators for a small network. The Backbone Kit adds backbone cables, T-connectors, a power cable and terminators for a multi-point network.
Other kits cover specific jobs: connecting older SeaTalk 1 equipment, feeding NMEA 2000 GPS data to an older DSC VHF radio as NMEA 0183, and connecting third-party engine gateways through a DeviceNet adaptor. All Axiom displays are NMEA 2000 certified.

SeaTalk NG cables and connectors
The individual backbone, spur, power and connector parts for building or extending a SeaTalk NG network.
These are the individual parts of a SeaTalk NG network, for building one up or extending it. The power cable connects the backbone to 12 V switched power, and each network needs one, in straight or right-angle form. The T-piece gives one white spur connection with two blue backbone ports. The 5-way connector gives up to three spur connections in one place. The backbone extender joins backbone cables or terminates the end of one.
SeaTalk NG cables are smaller than standard NMEA 2000 cable and have no locking collars; spurs are white and the backbone is blue. We work out cable lengths and the number of connection points when we plan the install, since the backbone needs to pass near each device.

SeaTalk HS
Ethernet cabling for first-generation Raymarine displays, radar and sonar, with adaptors to newer RayNet.
SeaTalk HS is the cabling for first-generation Raymarine Ethernet devices, used on C-Series Widescreen, E-Series Classic, E-Series Widescreen and G-Series products. It uses standard and waterproof RJ45 connectors to link multifunction displays, sonar modules, radars and network switches.
Raymarine lists a standard network cable, a dual-end weatherproof network cable, and a patch cable with non-waterproof RJ45 plugs. The crossover coupler joins non-waterproof RJ45 cables, or links legacy E-Classic devices one-to-one without a switch. RayNet-to-SeaTalk HS adaptors and an adaptor cable let these older devices connect to newer RayNet equipment. This is the cabling to match when keeping or extending an older system.

SeaTalk
The original Raymarine instrument network: extension cables, an alarm cable and a converter to SeaTalk NG.
SeaTalk 1 is Raymarine's original networking system for instruments, autopilot controllers and navigation components. It uses a three-wire design carrying bidirectional data and 12 V DC power, with waterproof connectors that allow daisy-chain or star-type networks.
Raymarine lists extension cables in various lengths, a 1.5 m alarm output cable suitable for E-Classic and G-Series devices, and the SeaTalk 1 to SeaTalk NG convertor, sold on its own or as part of a kit. The convertor is how an older SeaTalk instrument or autopilot joins a current SeaTalk NG network. For anything newer, see SeaTalk NG.
We specify the network with the equipment rather than after it, so the cable runs are right the first time.
Pairs with an Axiom display
Chart overlay, Doppler colouring and dual range all need the radar and the display working together. We supply them together and commission them together.
