Maretron builds NMEA 2000 monitoring and control hardware: sensors, displays and gateways that put every system on the boat onto one network and report it in one place. Tank levels, battery state, bilge activity, engine data, temperature, shore power and security, live.

What we do with it

• Work out what is worth monitoring. A full sensor fit is rarely the right answer. The useful questions are usually narrow: is the bilge cycling more than it should, is the bank actually recharging, did shore power drop while nobody was aboard.
• Put it on the existing network. Maretron is NMEA 2000, so on most boats it joins the backbone the Raymarine electronics already use rather than needing one of its own.
• Make it reportable remotely. This pairs directly with our guardianage work: a monitored boat tells you it has a problem instead of waiting for the next scheduled visit to find it.
