YachtSense Ecosystem
Raymarine's three-level plan for connecting the boat: phone app, 4G router and full digital control.
YachtSense Ecosystem is Raymarine's name for linking everything on the boat's network, onboard and offboard, in three levels that you can adopt one at a time. Level 1 is Mobile Command, the Raymarine App, which connects straight to Axiom displays so you can control them and back up waypoints. It works without the other two levels.
Level 2 is YachtSense Link, a marine router that brings 4G, dockside and onboard Wi-Fi and RayNet Ethernet together into one network and allows remote access to NMEA 2000 devices. Level 3 is the YachtSense Digital Control System, scalable digital switching aimed at boat builders and technical installers. Choose the level to suit the boat: the app alone, or all three for a vessel with a full digital electrical system.

YachtSense Link
4G marine router with GPS and Wi-Fi that puts displays, phones and tablets on one onboard network.
YachtSense Link is a multi-purpose marine mobile router. It joins Axiom displays, phones, tablets and PCs to a single onboard network, using 4G mobile broadband (you supply the SIM and data plan) with two SIM slots for use on international networks. It has built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, four RayNet Ethernet ports, a SeaTalk NG / NMEA 2000 port and digital input and output channels for switching.
The GPS lets it send GeoFence alerts when the boat enters or leaves a safety zone you set, and it gives remote access to NMEA 2000 devices. Remote monitoring in low-power mode needs a subscription. Raymarine also lists an input/output cable set for the router as its own item.

YachtSense digital control
Modular digital switching: a master module plus power, signal and expansion modules for the vessel's electrical systems.
The YachtSense Digital Control System replaces mechanical switches and breakers with modules that switch and monitor circuits over the boat's network. The Master Module is the hub, required in every installation, and has a keypad and LCD so the system can still be controlled if the network goes down. You then add modules to suit the loads. Low Power handles lights, wiper motors and electronics. High Power handles pumps, fans, heaters and refrigeration. Reverse Power drives circuits that reverse polarity, such as hydraulic pumps and actuators. Signal takes inputs such as tank levels, battery voltages and temperatures.
A Power Supply Module feeds the stack, and a Remote Module expands it over a SeaTalk NG backbone. Raymarine describes three layers of redundancy and IPX6-rated enclosures.

RMK-6 remote keypad
Compact programmable remote-control keypad for YachtSense and EmpirBus digital switching systems.
The RMK-6 is a compact, programmable remote-control keypad. Raymarine lists it for YachtSense and EmpirBus Digital Switching systems only, so it is not a general-purpose keypad for other equipment. It gives the helm or another station a set of physical buttons for switching tasks, as an alternative to going into the switching screens on the chartplotter.
Because it is programmable, what each button does is set up for the particular boat. It is a control, not a power module: it needs a YachtSense or EmpirBus switching system behind it, so it is specified alongside the rest of the digital switching install rather than on its own.

Digital switching partners
Third-party digital switching systems, CZone and EmpirBus, that work with Axiom displays.
Digital switching puts a boat's circuits on a network and controls them from a screen instead of mechanical switches and fuse panels. Raymarine works with partner systems for this. CZone gives a full view of the boat's electrical system with monitoring and control, can trigger automatic fixes for problems it detects, and is operated through Axiom displays. EmpirBus controls lighting, climate control, navigation lights, wipers, horns and entertainment from a chartplotter, smartphone or tablet, using compact circuit control modules on the NMEA 2000 network.
Both are normally specified with boat builders or system integrators, who import configuration files and custom control pages into the display. Raymarine also names Boning Automation as a partner but gives no further detail.

Marine engine integration
Shows Mercury and Yamaha engine data on Axiom through the engine maker's own gateway.
Engine integration puts engine data on the Axiom screen you already steer by, through the engine maker's own gateway. For Mercury, the built-in VesselView app works with Mercury SmartCraft Connect gateways, which a Mercury dealer must configure, and shows engine performance, fuel levels, service reminders and alerts for up to four engines. For Yamaha, a 6YG NMEA 2000 gateway links the Yamaha Command Link network to the boat's SeaTalk NG network, so the Command Link app shows engine data, tank levels, trim settings and alerts.
On Axiom XL, Yamaha's Helm Master EX control system can also be integrated using HDMI, NMEA 2000 and a Yamaha interface kit. The engine-maker hardware comes from the boat builder or the engine dealer.

ECI-100 engine and control interface
Universal interface bridging engine instrumentation and drive-by-wire steering with Raymarine autopilot and navigation.
The ECI-100 Universal Engine and Control Interface is a Raymarine product, listed alongside the Mercury and Yamaha integrations. It bridges engine instrumentation and drive-by-wire steering with Raymarine autopilot and navigation systems, so one interface does both jobs.
On the display side it gives access to customisable screens showing engine performance data, fuel consumption, alarms and more. Drive-by-wire means the helm is connected to the drive electronically rather than by cable or hydraulics, which is why steering control has to be brought into the autopilot system as well as the engine data. Which engines and drives can be connected has to be checked against the specific boat, so we confirm that before quoting.

Maretron vessel monitoring
Vessel monitoring, digital switching and power distribution from Maretron, now part of the Raymarine range.
Maretron is a vessel monitoring and digital switching brand that Raymarine now lists in its own range. Raymarine groups it into four product areas. Maretron Vessel Monitoring is the sensor and monitoring side, giving visibility of the boat's electrical systems. MPower Digital Switching controls circuits digitally. OctoPlex is a power distribution range. MConnect is the fourth group.
The common thread is NMEA 2000, the standard network that lets equipment from different makers share data. These are system-level installs, so we scope the sensors and switching on the boat.
These are system-level installs. We scope them on the boat rather than off a list.
Pairs with an Axiom display
Chart overlay, Doppler colouring and dual range all need the radar and the display working together. We supply them together and commission them together.
